White Horse Contractors have a long association with Ingestre
Park Golf Club, a total of 5 Tees have been reconstructed
for the club, ditches reshaped and sand slits installed.
Works for Tee reshaping include the removal of topsoil
from the existing tee and surrounds, levelling and extending
the existing area; installing land drains at appropriate
spacings and finally laying turf over the new construction.
Sand slits were installed to run the length of the
fairway to key into the existing drains. The slits were
250mm deep by 60mm wide, filled with gravel to within
100mm of the surface and topped with an approved sand.
The installation of sand slits allows for the rapid
removal of surface water into the drain system.
Brian Robson, The Club's Greens Chairman commented
that:
" The men working in the relevant teams have
worked well with our Head Greenkeeper and his staff,
ensuring that the work when completed was to the highest
standards. The quality of the finish to the 5 new Tees
is superb and has led to many favourable comments from
both our members and the many visitors who come to play
at Ingestre Park.
White Horse have proved to be a company that it
is a pleasure to do business with, from the Senior Management
down and we have no hesitation in recommending them
to other Golf Courses. " Further improvements are planned, and White Horse Contractors
will continue to provide the Club with the first class
service, which it has come to expect. |
