Business Development Manager

Overview of role and responsibilities:

Identification of tender opportunities – planning leads, industry press, industry relationships e.g. TT enquiries.

Manage tender process from initial scope review, PQQ, ITT, tender submission and post tender follow-up, working with the management team.

Coordination of advertising and marketing activities in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring best value whilst maintaining and enhancing the brand of the company.

Ensure maximum press coverage with regular generation of topical articles and editorials, working with the management team and clients for relevant and interesting content.

Website development – liaise with the development company ensuring website is kept up-to-date and fresh, SEO strategy, news updates, imagery updates, case studies.

Working with the Managing Director and General Manager, undertake ad-hoc business diversification projects (e.g. market analysis of new potential work stream, writing business plans etc)

Other activities include:

• Marketing collateral inc. folders, brochures, inserts, portfolio/reference lists, business cards, monitor stock levels and manage re-printing process
• Exhibitions: BSEC, Sports Colleges, etc. – identification of relevant shows, organise WHC exhibition stand, show information, support from partners i.e. TT
• Architects CPD seminars: identify, organise and deliver, maintain relationships
• Relationship management of consultants, key NGB personnel, key major contractors.
• Receive and action direct enquiries with dialogue, site surveys, ongoing monitoring of progress

Graduate Trainee

A unique opportunity for graduate entry to attain experience in the role of Contract Management for various sports turf, amenity and environmental projects with one of the country’s market leaders in the sports turf construction and water engineering industry.

Graduates wishing to apply should have completed degree courses and preferably have gained some knowledge and work experience encompassing:

Land Management
Soil Science
Environmental Engineering
Landscape Design
Business Studies
Project Management

As a member of the contract management team individuals should be enthusiastic self-starters with initiative and able to demonstrate a working awareness of leisure, amenity, landscape and environmental application.

You may become involved in pricing works, client and site visits and, as your role evolves, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

- Organise and supervise staff under your control, including maintaining Health and Safety Standards.

- Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities e.g. organisation of materials / distribution of resources.

- Maintain standards of excellence, ensuring the continuance of the company’s reputation and client satisfaction.
