White Horse Contractors Limited carried out all survey
work, design and working drawing production for this 5.5
million gallon irrigation reservoir complete with wetland
habitats and margins. Construction involved the use of
White Horse Contractors own earthmoving plant to create
a 3 1/2m high retaining bund. The reservoir was artificially
lined, with topsoil replaced over the margins and wetland
habitats.

The construction of a 1 ½ acre lake lined with
instu clay. The lake incorporates wetland bog plant areas,
deepwater for fish. The maximum water depth is 2.7 m,
the minimum 0.3 m with 8 different shelf depths in between
to allow planting of reeds, water lilies, etc.
A Borehole was constructed to provide initial filling
of the lake and subsequent topping up as required.
